...you guessed it a tooth....her 3rd in fact.....I came in from work and there she was proud standing waiting for me with a big smile less a tooth.....she lost it during snack time...she gets to go down to the office and get a special necklace to put her tooth in.....it will be another busy night for the tooth fairy I'm sure! :)

My Idol....Jann Arden!

Tonight I went to see Jann Arden with my friend Jenn. I hadn't planned to go but good friends of mine (Daniela and Kevin) had to sell their tickets, I felt bad for them as they were really looking forward to going....I bought the tickets off of them and tonight was the night I went to see my "Idol"......I have to say the seats were the best I ever had and if I can download the pictures from my camera phone I'll show you just how good........the concert was excellent as always.....3 years ago I went to see her and she sang the song "Hanging By A Thread" and she had said that she wouldn't sing it again in concert, but she did tonight.....I love that song it really is quite sad....but it touches me

Dinner Out with Friends

Tonight we went out to dinner with our friends Daniela and Kevin. It was a great meal with great company. We then went back to our house where we listened to music, talked and some evejn danced...he he.......it was great to see them again since we haven't seen them since Dec 24/06 (how bad is that?) Megan was sad to see them go but as Uncle Kevin does he got her smiling by the end.

Update!

Well the night went terrible...up every hour to hour and half with Meg being sick.....the longest she went was from 5:45 am- 9am.....she woke up not feeling well, trying to get her to drink water but she says her tummy is still in pain......so I've just got some orange Gatorade and she's had a couple of sips of that (here's hoping that stays done) I've had enough of the colors! She's very warm but no fever, and of coarse I'm not feeling well either.

Last night we had a call from Ken's Dad letting us know that his Mom is in the hospital with pnemonia...she's been in there since Saturday and she's doing ok on antibiotics and the puffer mask.

Purple What???

Today I picked Meg up from her afterschool program, she wasn't feeling well had a tummy ache. I thought at first she may have gotten in trouble at school, now I wish that she had because as it appears it will be a long night. On the drive home we were almost home when she said I think I'm going to be sick, and I said, "do you think you can make it home?" when I looked in the mirror she had her hand over her mouth and purple was coming out of her mouth and nose, I thought she was possesed. I stopped the car at the side of the road got out and handed her a blanket I had in back for her to be sick on. I had called Ken earlier to ask him to run a bath as she said she wasn't feeling well and maybe a nice warm bath would do....it did help clean her up. My car was a mess...thank goodness to Ken who cleaned it up. I did the purple laundry. Since then she's had some broth which she's brough back up, a couple sips of water which just recently came back up in her bed (doing more laundry), and now she has it happening from the other end. Anyway I'm going to go and get the linens put in the dryer just in case there needed in the night (please pray we do not need them again). Goodnight!

Popsicle????

Today I went grocery shopping with Megan....she has wanted these Fear Factor popsicles forever so today I decided she could have them...as you can see by the mouth my advice is "don't buy them!!!" Her mouth was black.....terrible! It's doesn't come off easy either

April Fool's Day!

This morning I was on the phone with my gradmother when Megan yelled out to me, "Mom there is a big spider, come quick." So quickly I ran to her, she was in her room, when I got in her room she yelled, "April Fool's". And then laughed like crazy. I've been had by my 6 year old....I'll be ready next year I hope!

Fun Time With Friends

Today Megan and I went to visit The Semkowski's....Ken stayed at home since he was not feeling well. Ashleigh and Liam are really growing fast, and we're hoping that Ken will see them again soon. Megan and I had dinner with the Semkowski's and then other friends came over....The Hardy's and then Jenn's sister, her niece and nephew. The kids had fun playing and the adults had great discussion as always. I always enjoy getting together with this group of friends it's just not often enough.

What A Rush Of A Morning....what a Thoughtful Daughter

This morning Meg had told me that it was a dress down day at school today, which means she doesn't have to wear her uniform....now I normally get notes home stating this.......there was no note, so no dress down......they had to pay a toonie to do a hop-a-thon to go towards a charity which we gladly paid for (this earned them the privlage to dress down but didn't say it on the note we had).......when we got to the school bus 20 minutes away from our home all the other children who got on the bus with her were dressed down.......Meg got on the bus and didn't wave to me and she was crying.....didn't I feel terrible.....so off I went....not to work....HOME....I went and got a change of clothes and brought them to school so she could change when she got there.....when she got to school she went to the principal's office and said, "Can I please call my Dad so he can bring me clothes for dress down?"....so they called her Dad, her Dad told them that her Mom already dropped off the clothes which she was pleased about...........When I picked Meg up tonight I asked her why she called her Dad and not me and she told me that she didn't want me to be late to work and knew Daddy doesn't have a boss and that he wouldn't get into trouble to bring her clothes........what a thoughtful daughter we have!

A New Thing!

Well I've been introduced to a new thing called Facebook.com and I have to say it is addictive....you can connect with people whom you haven't seen or talked to in a while, and keep updated on the people who you talk to often....it's a neat way to connect.

We're Back!

We're back from the fun in the sun....what a fantastic time we've had.....the best place we've stayed Riu Negril in Jamaica.....great place, people, food....the weather was fantastic.....we relaxed, swam, did some snorkelling, out peddleboating, and relaxed some more....this picture was from March 19th, so Megan has had her hair braided since this picture, Ken is darker and I am redder! I will post more later! No Problem Mon!

Off Out On A Girl's Day

Today Megan and I went out on our girls day to have lunch at the Old Spaghetti Factory then onto see the stage production of Annie....we had a great day, and Megan enjoyed the show. She didn't enjoy the show as much as I thought she would, they changed a lot of the scenes (different then the movie)....but it was a nice day out....and the weather made it that much nicer!

At My Godmothers

Tonight at my GodMothers we had dinner with Leigh, James, Brenden and of coarse my godmother Pennie, Megan, Ken and I.....it was a great meal, great company, but rotten allergies (yes that's me!) I had a bad allergy attack and had NO medication with me.....felt terrible, had to leave early and got home to get medication. My godmother used to have cats (2 years ago), but I guess that's what was doing it.

Spring is Coming!

Went to my godmothers house today and as we pulled in the driveway but what could we see a bird having a feed....what a sight...spring is coming!

Fiddler?

This week Megan has preformed in 3 performances of Fiddler on the Roof. This 1st picture is of her after the show. The next pciture is of a full picture of her in her costume. The show was fantastic, well done, especially for a school production. It involved every grade from JK to Grade 12 on a volunteer basis.

Gordon Broadbridge who passed away suddenly at the age of 60 from a short illness on Sunday March 4th, 2007. Gordon will be sadly missed by many family and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday March 9th, 2007 from 2pm-5pm.

What???

Well this morning has been crazy already. We all get up, Megan and Ken have their breakfast together as usual, and then off Ken goes to work. I get Megan ready for school, uniform on, hair done, make her lunch and pack her backpack. We leave the house at 7:15 am....that's when it happens...the phone call...it is the call to say "the school is having a snow day today."....Snow day??? There isn't any falling...they said no not yet but it is in anticipation of it, and because 90% of the students are bussed in they don't want to chance it for the way home....well this makes me call my husband to tell him. Work hasn't been exceptionally busy for him since it has been so cold out so far this year (he work is based on weather) and he said I guess I'll have to cancel all the jobs then and come back home....I feel bad since it is not bad weather yet and he could work....this is where the dilemma comes in should I stay or should I go??? Oh to have a Mom I know she'd be here in a heartbeat!

Yahooo! Megan's afterschool program is able to take her today they have the room, but they are closing at 4pm so she must be picked up by then! It looks like it will be a better day then I thought!
