Another Year Older!

That was me then and this is me now! It was my birthday today. It was a rush after work since it was Megans 1st swimming lessons which we couldn't miss. Our friends Kevin and Daniela came over for cake and coffee.

A Night With Friends!

Tonight we went to dinner at our friends Yvonne and Eldons home. They made a wonderful supper and they bought a cake and sang "Happy Birthday" to me! Megan thought it was great. After that we sang Karaoke, Yvonne has a childrens CD which Megan loved, she sang all the songs on it, then we sang some other songs which was fun. Thanks to Yvonne and Eldon for an excellent night!

It's Cool Enough Now!

Megan has wanted to wear this poncho since we bought it in England....well finally it's cool enough. We are going to meet the teacher night tonight and this is the outfit she has picked.....she's a little to independent for me.....picking clothes out makes me know she is definitely growing up.

Here is our little girl who's only 5 but likes to think she's older than that.......noooo don't grow up!

Update!

Well Megan has no cough or breathing problems since her ear infection is almost cleared up.....We are so happy to know that it isn't asthma! We learnt that some children don't get a fever from ear infections, instead they get rashes, and a very bad cough.........Ahhhhhhhhhhh a sigh of relief!

Bye Becky!

Tonight I went out, had dinner and did karaoke with some friends to say "Goodbye" to Becky. She is moving out to BC, with her husband and 4 children. I wish her and her family the best of luck. I've known Becky since I was 5 years old....a long time.....It was a great time last night.....pitty it takes things like this to bring people together.

Getting Back Into The Groove!

Megan started back to gymnastics today, she really loves it. After that we went shopping.....for her halloween costume.....yes we did pick one up but I'm not revealing what it is.....you'll find out when the pictures are posted on October 31! We went and had lunch together, and got a few things to get toys organized. Today she asked if everyone has to go to school, and I told her they did, she said that Dora doesn't go to school! Out of the mouth of babes! I found a book that is called "Dora Goes to School" and I showed it to her and said that she does. She isn't enjoying circle time at school and the recapping of what they did in JK and I think this is why she's wondering about going to school....hopefully the next little while she'll become more interested in what she's learning when they bring new and more challenging things out.

Welcome Brenden Michael James Cromwell

Tonight we went to visit the new arrival in the Cromwell home "Brenden". Megan was so excited to see the new addition.....he was so cute she said to us. In one of the pictures is the the new Proud Daddy James. Congratulations to Leigh and James!

Oh Dear!

Today we took Megan to our family doctor too see about ths cough she's been having....we have to monitor it for 2 months and see when the attacks are coming....that sort of thing. He checked her ears as well.....as doctors usually do and low and behold an ear infection...not just in one...but in 2. He said they were really bad ones....she's never had a fever....nor has she complained about her ears in anyway. He said that her cough might be linked to her infection and we'll know more in 8 - 10 days once the ears clear up. He said it might be Brocholitis (or however you spell it) We hope it is that, and nothing else that is making her cough.

Today Megan was so proud to start "SK". We hope that she is this excited years to come when she's starting highschool.....lol.....We took a picture of her standing by the front door last year as well and she sure has grown taller.

Poor Megan

Tonight we were at the hospital with Megan, she had a coughing attack....she had a cough all week but this time it wouldn't stop. We had taken to 2 different walk in doctors, then the attack happened and we had to take her to the hospital....they were all wonderful and took care of her right away. They put her on the medi mist machine and it took it right away......we now have puffers for future.....it really scared us....the Doctor asked her has she been in hospital? and she replied...."yes when I was borned!"........I have to say I hear a lot of parents having to bring their children to the hospital....I'm just surprised it took us 5 years to have to take her....thank goodness I say!

Since we've been back we haven't been doing too much....working, preparing for school to start....going to the park, getting colds....trying to get better from colds.....the normal rush of life. It's the long weekend this weekend and we've got a lot of home projects to do. Megan is creating her art work for my desk, Ken is painting windows, and I am sorting through closets.............we're gathering things to send down to the the victims of Katrina knowing that every little bit counts.
