Last Day Of June!!!!

Can you believe it is the last day of June? Me neither! Over the past week Megan has been in camp since her school finished a week ago, she's really enjoyed it. I picked her report card up on Thursday and we were very proud of our little girl who will be going into Grade 2 in September. She came out with 6 A+'s, 5 A's & a B+, Megan was proud of her A+ but when I said "A" & "B+" she wasn't so excited, she is obviously hard on herself, we on the other hand were extremley happy and wonder who she takes after for that because I can assure you it's neither of us!!!!

Lunch At Our Friends!

Today we went to have lunch at our friends The Mackenzies. We hadn't been to their place since December so it was a long time over due. It was great. It was hot, hot, hot in their backyard, but I will not complain because winter comes to fast in Canada. Megan was sad to leave their place as she loves them to bits. We hope to get together again sooner next time! Thanks guys it was great!!!

Bee Careful!!

Today we were in the backyard when all of a sudden this swarm of bees came out of nowhere........

they kept coming and coming, we ran into our mesh cover and watched as they started to land...

onto a tree in our backyard, the other neighbours were out since the noise of these bees were loud.....

here in the tree they have stopped, hundreds upon hundreds of bees protecting there Queen. So needless to say we needed to "BEE" careful today!

Father's Day!

We spent Father's Day at Wonderland. Megan had wanted to surprise her Daddy. She wanted to take him for breakfast and then surprise him by taking him to Wonderland. She was so excited when we arrived there and Daddy was surprised. The weather was so perfect and we had an awesome time. Megan was able to get on bigger rides this year and she had her chance at her first upside down ride with her Dad on the Dragonfire, we finally left at closing time. Happy Father's Day~!

An Un-Birthday Today!

Today Megan is celebrating her un-birthday at school since her birthdya is during the summer months, so I am having pizza ordered and made an attempt of making cupcake cones. There cute and I think the kids will like them!

The Longtin/Broadbridge Buck N Doe

This weekend was the Buck N Doe for Heather and Jeff. Above is a picture of the cake I had done. The event had a great turnout and great success. There were games played, raffles held, food and music. A great time was had by all. Below are some pictures fromt he night:

The Wedding Party!

Blurrrrrrrr

Saturday was a complete blurrrrr.....it started out at 7 am when I started making pasta salad for that night's Buck N Doe...then we had to be at a soccer game at 9 am...then onto a parade at 11am......gymnastics starts at 11:30 am which we arrived 15 minutes late for......got a quick bite to eat before heading to Costco to get a bunch of stuff for the Buck N Doe...ran around for a cake since it was all messed up at Costco...finally arrived home to get ready at 4 pm (had to be at Buck n Doe location for 5pm)....after getting ready headed to the party shop for balloons then onto the Buck N Doe arrived to set up 20 minutes later then scheduled....all in all it was a busy day but seemed to get it all fit in one way or another!

Weekend Away!

This weekend we went away to Buffalo.....yes we went for shopping (at least I did) and relaxation....which to me means all the same thing. Anyway, we had a great time. Saturday the sun was shining not a cloud in the sky and the temperature was 32 degrees. We had a hotel that had an indoor/outdoor pool so Saturday afternoon we spent the time lounging and swimming.....it was relaxing!

A Bear Named Lilac!

This weekend Megan finally (I say finally because she has wanted to do this for sometime) got to make her own bear at "Build A Bear"! Well here she is with her new friend Lilac......can you tell she's a happy little girl. If you don't know this already she loves teddy bears so you can imagine how she felt when she finally got to do this!
