What A Difference

Well he finally did it....Ken painted our downstairs bathroom, and oh what a difference...I forgot to take before and after but let me tell you the before picture would have broken the camera......we have to get the fixtures up still, we have them just need to do it!

Tonight I met Ken and Meg at the Fish and Chip Shop for supper, we went to Henry's Photo to look at Digital Cameras, I think I found something I like....it seems like it has all the bells and whistles...take a look......it's a Sony DSC-H1 Cybershot 5.1MP 12X 2.5IDCAM......if anyone can suggest wheather this is a good camera or not that would help me out loads......you see I was at my cousin Carolynns last weekend and she has a great camera and I fell in love with it.....so we went to Henry's and asked for it but they said it was discontinued and that they were coming out in a month with the #3 to hers, now do I wait for it to compare or do I go buy this????? hmmmmmm....help?

Your Tribe Has Spoken!

Another night of Survivor and well Courtney is gone, that was Ken's....so all we have left in our family is Megan who has Aras.....Megan cried tonight when Aras didn't win the game as she calls it...she kept saying it's not fair Terry keeps winning the games....I do not look forward to the day if Aras gets voted out all together.....after the show she was quite glad that she was still in it.....she said if I win Mommy I will share! Too Cute!

Drivin Home!

Tonight I was driving home and I was speaking with Megan on the phone....she asked me what road I was on......I said, "the 410"........she asked, "is it busy?"........I said, "yes it is"......she then asked, "isn't there another road to take?.........I said, "No, the government didn't make another one."......She asked, "What's the Government?"..........I explained "remember when I voted for the blue party".........she said "yes"........I said, "they are the government"........she then asked "what are they doing then?"........I said "lowering taxes" and explained a little more to her.......she asked me "what are taxes?" and I told her "that we pay them to make new roads and things like that".......she then said "don't pay them then Mommy".......I had to laugh.....if this is what she's thinking at 5 1/2......look out politics because here comes your next candidate!

It's Too Bad

Well an updte on one of my other favorite shows The Amazing Race and I'm sad to say that Fran & Barry were eliminated from the race.....they've done so good and they had hearts of gold....I really wanted them to win to show they could beat the odds, but no such luck....so I'll be cheering on the Hippies as they are a lot of fun to watch!

Well another episode of Apprentice 5 is over and with a bang for me....goodbye Andrea and not a moment too soon. She drove me crazy....she was a think she knows it all kind of person....asking peoples opinion when she has clearly made a decision before she's asked anyone.....she is a person who needs to be in control and won't let anyone else make a decision....she is someone who needs to work on the own, live on their own, and just plain be alone.....read her bio it tells all she is alone all except for her 3 dogs that can't talk back!

A Good Weekend...but some pain too....

This weekend was good. Friday night we didn't do much, I was tried and went to bed early....I woke up at 2 am with a very stiff neck which went down my right side....I popped 2 extra strength advil and I was on my way....first it was to gymnastics...then onto Megan's friends birthday party....then to my cousin's house who was having a 60th surprise open house for him....wouldn't ya know it I forgot to bring my camera everywhere on Saturday.......hopefully someone will post some pictures from Saturday......I'll keep you posted......Sunday (today) we didn't do to much as I was still suffering from a stiff neck......hopefully this pain will go soon because it's a pain in the neck (pardon the punn)

I Thought...

Well I thought that my homework days were gone....well they're not......Megan has reading to do and it's like pulling teth to get her to sit and read....she's doing really well but is lacking confindence....we cheer and praise her but yet she's hard on herself......I hated reading when I was small and I'm still not fond of it now....I try to read in front of Megan so she see's that I read so hopefully she will get the desire to but it's not yet.......so tonight I made her sit in a chair with nothing going on around her and told her she had to read to me it was practise for school and she cried and cried...I didn't give in (I wanted to) but I didn't......I told her the longer she sat and cried the longer it would be before she could get out of the chair and do other things so her bes bet was to read and get it over with....after a little more sobbing and saying how much she "hated" reading she was ready....and you know she did an awesome job......and then she had a candy apple....there has to be some incentive!

Great Company!

Our friends came for a Easter visit today, it was great to see them as usual....megan was so sad it was a short visit...she cried and cried after they left she loves them soooo much!

Just Relaxing

Today Austin and his Mom Michelle (our friend) came for dinner....it was a nice relaxing afternoon....the kids played in the backyard...getting into trouble together as they normally do.....they sure do get along well and they always have....here's a picture of them....we had a good dinner...Chicken Parmesan, Pasta and Caesar salad and Michelle brought my favorite for dessert.....Lemon Merengue Pie....mmmmm good.

Good Friday

Today was a quiet day in our house....Ken took Megan to the movies to see Ice Age 2 they enjoyed themselves...I stayed home and just did some sorting through things....not much at all really...the weather was cool and dull.....below you'll see what Megan was doing outside today.

I'm Out!

Well I'm an avid Survivor fan, and we went out tonight and I taped (so I thought) Survivor....it didn't tape, I hadn't changed the time back...ahhhhhhhhhhh...I freaked out all over a show, but wouldn't ya love that thing called "time shifting" so there I was watching it at 9 pm and I was a happy camper.....well at least for a little while......I'm in a pool with some friends (so is Ken and Meg)....well they are still I'm not...you guessed it I was voted off tonight 'cause I had Sally ......I was so mad....I thought she'd stay in...oh well....I'm cheering on Aras for Meg and Courtney for Ken (but between you and me I'm not too sure if they will go far)......

I'm also in a pool at work where we pick 4 and you get points for them...but he key is you must pick them in the order they finish...I don't think I stand a chance there, never mind it's fun anyway.

Oh the things we do for our children.....Can you guess who's having more fun??? Megan lay on the walkway while I drew her outline....then she wanted Daddy to do it so there he is having fun.....what a beautiful day it was!

Blogging!

Well I've been blogging for a year now and I must say I do enjoy it...keeping our family and friends up to date with what's going on in our lives.....it has really become a hobby. I print out each month as well as save it to disc so I can keep it for a keepsake for Megan one day....I hope you like keeping up to date with our family....thanks for coming along for the ride.

Well Deserved

Tonight was another episode of Apprentice 5 and well I'm not surprised at all that Lenny was fired....I knew that when they went to the boardroom that would be it, I knew Trump would fire him there and then. I can't believe that someone as unknowledgable as that could have been picked even to appear on the show, he must have been picked to make the show have some humor.....so where will this show take us? Who is looking at being the new Apprentice? The choices are very slim...we'll just have to keep watching....until next week....
