Girl's Night Out!

Well I did it I camped out in the backyard with Megan....we watched a movie on the portable DVD, Aquamarine was the movie. We didn't exactly rough it I know....it rained at 1 am (hard) I had a few drips come in and started to think we should move on inside but I stuck with it, I woke again at 6:30 am with our neighbours air conditioning unit and the wind and then I fell back asleep only to be awakened by a kiss from my Megan at 9:00 am.....I enjoyed the time out in the tent with my girl.....I will do it again! 10 Years Ago....

10 years ago I married my best friend, the one I laugh with, live for and love. The 10 years have brought a lot of highs and some lows and through it all we've been there for one another. When we first got together some people thought that this relationship would never last.

Wow 10 years.....time flies when your having fun.....I was sitting here thinking about how much can happen in 10 years ......we bought our 1st house, had a baby, opened a business, my Mom passed away, my Dad passed away, we bought our 2nd home (and hopefully final), and oh so much more......you know what I realize is that this marriage that we have is more then I could've hoped for, through the different strains of life that was thrown at us it made us a stronger couple. I married a man who is supportive, unselfish and down right loving.

Don't be fooled here. It has not been all roses and candlelight dinners. More like sleepless nights and craizness intermingled with stress. However, most of the time (not all, but most) I knew that my husband, my partner, my best-friend, was there with me. We were in this together. I would tolerate his silence and he would put up with my emotional outbursts. I would embrace his stability and common sense and he would encourage my entrepreneurial spirit.

For the next 10 years, and the 10 years after that, I am going to be conscious of our relationship. I am going to invest in the one person who I know, will be with me forever, my soul mate.

New Ones!

If only you knew how hard it was to get this new set of earrings in Megans ear tonight. She got these new set of earring from her Godparents Richard and Liz for her birthday and she was so excited to get them in. The problem was we got the old ones out on Saturday and she was too scared to get these new ones put back in.....all I know is that she heals very quickly because they had already started to heal over in the back, which was not good as you can imagine....so we tried last night and she freaked out, we've never seen her like that....so she said do it while I'm sleeping so we tried to at midnight last night....she didn't go for that either, she freaked out again....so tonight I suggested that we put ice on it to make it freezing she freaked out but we got the job done and now she is the wearing them proud....all that work....I guess she is going to be like me after all, as if you don't know me I have a phobia of needles. Liam Was Here!

Here is the little baby boy his parents have called "Liam". They came by our house for a visit today, we were suppose to go to see them but things happened and changed the plan. What a cute little boy, I held him, held him, and held him. He was here for 6 hours ane he barely made a sound, we kept saying to his parents "can you keep your child quieter" it was quite funny. Here's Megan holding Liam, she was so exicted for him to come for a visit. When he left she cried and cried wishing she she could have baby brother who she can look after like Ashleigh does. She said it's not fair.....I would be a great big sister. Posted by Picasa

Ashleigh and Megan had fun today playing inside and out. They do get up to mischief when they are together. It's nice that the girls have a close bond. Posted by Picasa
