Megan & Her Friend

Yesterday Megan had gymnastics and then she went and played over at her friend Elanna's house for a few hours. And for those of you who know us we don't have time on our own very often, and so what did Ken and I do? We went grocery shopping, kid-less, and it cost us much more, we actually had time to look at was on the shelves instead of running by it.

Today we picked up Megan's friend Elanna and took the both of them to a classmates birthday party and Chuck'E'Cheese, it was crazy busy! They had a great time. While they were at the birthday party we ran across the road again kid-less to Home Depot and bought a light fixture for our basement, looked at garage doors, and toilets (how exciting eh?)...then went back to the party until it ended and brought the kids home.

It's Been A While

It's been a while since I last blogged....nothing much is new, it's January after all. This afternoon there has been a snow fall which made the roads a little hectic.....I left work at 5:00pm and arrived home at 6:50pm, can you tell I'm happy? I was being sarcastic.....glad to be home in my warm home.

Snow Day....Or Shall We say Ice Day?

Today Megan has a snow day.....but really it is an ice day! We have had a downpour of ice for hours.....I wasn't the lucky one to get to stay home with her today, Daddy was the lucky one! It took me an hour and 45 minutes to get in but I've arrived safe and sound....not looking forward to the ride home!

Today we went to my cousin Pat and Tom's home for Boxing Day! We had a great time as usual seeing the family. We enjoyed a wonderful meal as well. Thanks for the Martins to opening their home.

Christmas Dinner

We went to Mr & Mrs Cassell's for Christmas Dinner, it was a great night the kids had a ton of fun and we even had a surprise visit from Santa. We had a bunch of laughs, excellent food all made by the Maureen and Sam...we want to say thanks it was fantastic!

Christmas Morning

Megan seeing the stockings are filled by the fireplace.....then she checked to see what Santa and the reindeer ate and a picture of us opening our stockings...then at breakfast.

Christmas Eve!

Tonight we went out for a fish dinner then off to church we went, to KRT. It was a wonderful evening. They laid out the stage as a livingroom and welcomed everyone into their home for Christmas Eve. It was very joyful and uplifting to feel the spirit in the air and to wonder why this feeling doesn't last the year through.

Preparing for Santa

Preparing for Santa to come...Megan places shortbread and milk for Santa and some carrots for the reindeer (8 to be exact)

Sparkle

Tonight Megan sprinkled some special oats on the lawn, there are sparkles in it and the sparkles will glitter in the moonlight so that Santa and the reindeer can be sure to spot our house.....thank you Auntie Pennie for those special oats!

Christmas Eve Brunch!

Today we had Yvonne & Eldon over for brunch....it was a nice time visiting with friends......we played a game, opened some presents, and had some laughs..........thanks for coming over!

Horse and Wagon Ride!

We went on a horse and wagon ride tonight....it was cool out, and a little damp....but with the music playing, children singing and everyone yelling "Merry Christmas" to the people we were passing made it so enjoyable.......we were able to see all the decorated houses which were beautiful.........ahhhhh what a nice night!

Too Long...

Tonight Austin and his Mom Michelle came over for dinner....I didn't cook, we ordered Chinese and Ken went and picked up McDonalds for the kids....the kids had a lot of fun playing together, and the adults enjoyed gabbing.....it had been along time since we last saw eachother....too long as usual
